In March of 2004, the first of the annual Trudges took place. The trek across Lake Winnipeg was a fun adventure, camping in the middle of the South Basin, sitting around the fire surrounded by hundreds of square miles of snow and ice, and watching the snow blanketing our camp. Trudgers in 2004 were: Jim B, Ian C, Rick H, Pat S, Tim S, Paul S. In early February of 2017, we hope to have a good turnout for the 14th Trudge. A tentative plan is to drive to Stewart Lake Lodge on Feb 7th (Tue), ski or snowshoe into the Winnange Lake camp we have used on several summer trips. Spend the night of the 7th(Tue) and 8th (Wed) at the Winnange camp. On Feb 9th (Thu), return to Stewart Lake Lodge and drive to Kenora where we would spend the night. On Feb 10 th (Fri), we would go to the Malachi Lake camp where we would spend Feb 10th (Fri) and Feb 11th (Sat). Drive home on Feb 12th (Sun).
